We typically receive referrals from child life specialists and social workers at children’s hospitals, so that’s the best place to start. Please mention our programs to those people first. If you have further questions, you can contact us any time.
Roc Solid currently has locations in Virginia, North Carolina and California, but we are rapidly expanding to new areas.
We work very closely with child life specialists at children's hospitals, who help us determine the best timing for our projects based on treatment plans and other factors. Once a recipient has been selected, a Roc Solid representative meets the family to discuss the project in detail and add it to our schedule.
Yes, and yes! We are always looking for volunteers to get involved, and you don’t need a construction background or any specific skills to do it. Our projects are turn-key and supervised by experienced build team leaders. We assign tasks to volunteers based on skills, experience and interests. In other words, there’s something for everyone to do.
All of our projects are family friendly and we love having kids on the build sites, so please bring them along! We love working with the “next generation” of hope-builders.
Impacting 16,000 kids and families a year is a big goal, but one we are determined to reach. So we strive to utilize every dollar possible toward growing and implementing our programs. We plan with the 80/20 rule in mind, meaning around 80% of all donations goes straight toward our mission.
