Looking for a Warehouse Specialist who can fix anything, keep things running smoothly, and still find time to reel in a big catch? That’s Sterling! When he’s not organizing and managing all things in our warehouse, you’ll find him admiring vintage cars or making lasting memories with his three (soon to be four!) grandkids on the water. After running his own handyman service for 45 years, he’s found his perfect fit at Roc Solid—and he says it’s the best job he’s ever had.
Whether he’s working hard behind the scenes or enjoying life on the water, Sterling’s always bringing his A-game and a smile to everything he does!
Need something moved? Call TJ—he’s “GAMF” (Great At Moving Furniture – as described by his family)! When he’s not reorganizing the warehouse, TJ is using his drive and determination to make a difference at Roc Solid. After his own cancer treatment, he was inspired to give back, and that’s how he found his way to our team.
An Old Dominion University alum with 25 years in the Sales and Executive Management Industry, TJ brings energy, loyalty, and a passion for helping families and kids who need it most.
Outside of Roc Solid, you’ll find him hitting Orange Theory Fitness, conquering Ragnar Relay races, or binging crime dramas (thanks to his Criminal Justice degree).
Amanda is our girl who’s always ready to inspire and look fabulous while doing it! With a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master’s in Public Administration focused on Nonprofit Management, Amanda has spent her entire career in the nonprofit world.
Her connection to Roc Solid began 10 years before officially joining our team when she volunteered on a playset build with her sorority. After hearing how Roc Solid had made a difference for a colleague’s family, she knew she had to be part of the life-changing work. Now, she’s passionate about building relationships and connecting donors to make a real impact for families facing pediatric cancer.
Outside of work, Amanda’s the one planning the next adventure, whether it’s coordinating an event or creating new opportunities to make a difference. Always optimistic, always stylish, she’s here to bring big ideas to life!
“We need someone to fly across the country this afternoon to build a playset for a kiddo fighting cancer…” Justin’s already packing his bags!
Seeking a space where he could make a social impact after graduating from Washington & Lee University, Justin was introduced to Roc Solid by a coworker—and it didn’t take long for him to be hooked. He instantly connected with the staff, the mission and the idea of working alongside families and volunteers to create meaningful change. His favorite part of the job? Hearing the inspiring stories of families and volunteers while traveling to new places.
Justin is a mix of passion and dry humor with a go-with-the-flow attitude. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him in a museum, painting, playing music or gazing at the sky—anything that lets his creativity run wild.”
