Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need construction experience to participate in a playset build?

No special skills are required. Roc Solid will provide your team with a thorough build manual with clear instructions! Pro tip: Sort the hardware before you begin!

How many volunteers are needed to build a playset?
Up to 25 volunteers can attend a playset build. We recommend a minimum of 10-15 people.
What should I bring/wear?
Please wear closed toed shoes to the build and dress appropriately for the weather. We recommend that your team brings water and snacks.
Can we bring banners/marketing materials with our company information?
Sure! These make for great photo opportunities.
What’s the timeline for the day, and what will I be expected to do?
We recommend that you plan to begin your build at 9:00am, but please confirm arrival time with the family prior to build day. Playset builds can take between 4-8 hours depending on skill set.
What is parking like on the day of the playset build?
Each home is different! Please check with the family if they have any specific parking instructions.
What is the waiver of liability and why do I have to sign it?
Our waiver releases Roc Solid Foundation from any legal liability in the event that injury or personal property damage occurs during a project or event. We ask that waivers be completed before any volunteers begin work on a project site. They may be completed during online registration, but we will also have hard copies available the day of the project. If a volunteer is under the age of 18, his/her name should be listed on the parent/guardian’s waiver.
What if rain is forecasted on my build date?
Roc Solid Foundation builds are typically rain or shine. If you feel your safety may be at risk, the decision to move forward or postpone the project should be made the day prior. Please reach out to your contacts at Roc Solid Foundation to alert us of a date change and please call the family to discuss rescheduling.
