Everyone has a different love language, and no matter how you express love, there’s a way to share it with Roc Solid Foundation! Whether it’s through words, time, service, gifts or connection, you can help us build hope for families fighting pediatric cancer.

Words of Affirmation:
- Share encouraging messages on social media to uplift families and volunteers by commenting on RSF social posts!
- Tell a family who is fighting childhood cancer how strong and inspiring they are!
- Leave encouraging messages on the family’s playset along with your name, or in sidewalk chalk in the driveway at your playset build. The family will see those messages and be reminded that there are people who care about them.
- Share about why you support Roc Solid and how it impacts families on your social media.
Acts of Service:
- If you know a family fighting pediatric cancer, provide practical help by making a meal for them, helping pick up or drop off their kids from sports or school activities or bring a coffee or some flowers on a particularly difficult day.
- Host a Ready Bag item drive and collect travel size toiletries and UNO cards for Ready Bags.
- Start a virtual fundraiser or host a fundraising event to benefit Roc Solid
- Volunteer behind the scenes at Warehouse Wednesday if you are local to the southeast VA area.
Receiving Gifts:
- Donate to help provide backyard play and hospital Ready Bags for families fighting pediatric cancer—every contribution makes a difference!
- Sponsor a Ready Bag Packing Party or a play project to build hope for a family fighting pediatric cancer.
- Explore our Ways to Give page and choose how you want to give to Roc Solid.
- Reach out to your local children’s hospital and ask what you can do to support families fighting pediatric cancer in your community.
Quality Time:
- Gather friends, family, or coworkers to volunteer together at a play project or Ready Bag Packing Party.
- Attend Night for the Fight on May 2nd, 2025 at Chartway Arena in Norfolk, VA.
- Take the time to learn about a family’s story and show them they’re not alone.
Physical Touch:
- Give encouraging high-fives to families and kiddos at playset build projects.
- Hold hands in prayer or solidarity before a big build day.
- Physically be present for a family you know who is fighting pediatric cancer—sometimes just showing up is the best way to show love. Make sure they know they can count on you to help however you can.
No matter your love language, there’s a way to build hope through Roc Solid! At the end of the day, love is about showing up, making a difference, and spreading hope. Together, we can turn love into action and continue building hope for families fighting pediatric cancer.
