Become a Hospital Partner

We partner with children’s hospitals throughout the US to distribute Ready Bags to families when their child is diagnosed with cancer. Ready Bags include everything a family may need for their unexpected hospital stays and helps establish a relationship between the family and Child Life team as they unpack the Ready Bag together.

What’s in a Ready Bag?

Ready Bags include everything a family may need for their unexpected hospital stays including:

  • A hand-written note to let the family know they are not alone.

  • A toiletries bag with personal care items for the families.
  • A blanket for extra comfort and because hospital rooms can be chilly.
  • An insulated bag and a coffee thermos for transporting food and drinks.
  • An Amazon Fire tablet for the kids to play and provide a distraction during treatment.
  • A universal phone charger to keep phones charged while in the hospital.
  • A pill crusher so parents can crush medications as directed by their kiddo’s medical team.
  • UNO Cards to give the family a way to play together while in the hospital.
  • A journal to record information from doctors and a place to express their emotions.
  • A pop-it toy to act as a distraction tool for the kiddo during IV sticks and blood draws.
  • Wireless over the ear headphones for music listening and to tune out noise in the hospital
  • Deck of playing cards for adolescents and parents to use to pass the time in the hospital
  • A tablet cover to help protect the Kindle Fire Tablet
