“Team members want something beyond just coming to work, they want to know that what they are doing is making a difference beyond our day-to-day,” Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group’s Chief Lending Officer and Roc Solid Foundation’s Board of Directors Chair, Emily Farley, shares. “Partnering with Roc Solid Foundation allows them to do that.”

Atlantic Bay got connected with Roc Solid back in 2012, following Emily’s introduction to the organization through a local volunteer event. “I attended my first Night for the Fight in 2012 and was blown away by the mission of Roc Solid. I continued to be involved personally and through our Realtor partnership for years after that,” she shares.

Forming a dream team

“In 2018 Atlantic Bay was looking for a corporate partner. We researched and interviewed many companies from local to National organizations. Roc Solid was a perfect fit in all categories and has been a fantastic partnership.”

Since then, Atlantic Bay has been committed to our mission of reaching every family fighting pediatric cancer with the message of hope, play and community. Through our partnership, Atlantic Bay has provided dozens of playsets to kids fighting cancer, is the largest corporate supporter of our Ready Bag program and has been a major sponsor for multiple Roc Solid events.

“We have the ability for our team to have hands-on engagement with Roc Solid and really experience the emotion around the mission and the families involved,” Emily shares. “Either on a build or a Packing Party, our team feels like they are helping people within their community and can interact with the rest of the staff and the Roc Solid families.”

Atlantic Bay’s team has brought their clients into the mission as well. They love to share how each project contributes toward Roc Solid’s mission in the local community and around the country through their corporate partnership. “The mission is easy to communicate internally and rally behind,” Emily explains. “We can correlate Atlantic Bay being able to help Roc Solid reach 16,000 families and being a part of that to the loans we do and show how they support the mission.”

Aligning values, vision and culture

At Roc Solid, it is important that our connection to partnering organizations aligns our mission to their values. At Atlantic Bay, it was a perfect fit.

Emily explains, “There are two Atlantic Bay values that align very well:

One—We genuinely care. Partnering with Roc Solid allows our team to show their care to families and children in our local markets and beyond.  Two—We have fun! We love what we do while making a difference. We are able to work as a team on a playset build or a packing party to build teamwork internally, while making a difference for a family.”

Atlantic Bay volunteers are easy to spot at Roc Solid events because they always show genuine enthusiasm to be building hope. When we asked Emily how the Atlantic Bay team feels about volunteering with Roc Solid, she told us, “They LOVE IT! Our team loves being a part of the builds and packing parties that we have done.  It has been great to have Roc Solid speak at our events and even do a playset build at one of our parties.”

The Best is Yet to Come

We are excited to continue our partnership with Atlantic Bay this year through more playset builds on the east coast, Ready Bag Packing Parties with their team and their sponsorship for Night for the Fight coming up in April 2023. Atlantic Bay already completed a playset build in Orlando, Florida earlier this year and their excitement for all that 2023 has to bring is growing. Emily shared, “We are excited to continue to be able to partner in new areas together as we grow.”

“It is amazing to see how RSF has grown since I was first involved in 2011 to now in 2023,” says Emily. “The vision is amazing and the evolution over the past three years is so impressive. I am honored to be a part of it and all Roc Solid is working toward.”
